Meet our Teachers and Chaperones
Denise is a highly experienced, professional singer with over 20 years’ experience in the Industry. She has performed countless times, to venues of all sizes, both in Ireland and abroad.
Denise fronted her own Wedding and Corporate Band, The Illusion Band for fourteen years. She has appeared many times on Irish TV and has sang backing vocals for some of Irelands well known entertainers.
Seven years ago Denise decided to put her passion into the children of Ratoath. She retrained in Drama at the Abbey School of Acting. Today she uses her many years of stage experience, helping children develop as individuals and mature in confidence. She very much enjoys seeing them reach their full potential in a FUN and SAFE environment, while gaining valuable life skills and stage experience.
Gráinne began dancing with Spotlight Stage School, training full time at the College of Dance. She also trained in Classical and Musical Theatre singing at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
Gráinne has worked extensively throughout the country in a variety of stage shows including; four consecutive Christmas Pantos, Bugsy Malone and Our House: The Madness Musical at the Olympia Theatre, Christmas Crackers and Oliver! at the National Concert Hall, Celtic Circles at the Point Depot, four consecutive Christmas pantos at the Helix Theatre, Grease at the Gaiety as well as various corporate events across the country. <
Gráinne has also worked overseas, with tour credits including; two seasons on board the Irish ferries in Wilde Nights Cabaret as lead Irish dancer, along with a further season as lead Irish dancer and dance captain. Four tours of North America with Dublin’s Traditional Irish Cabaret, a summer season as swing in Normandy Nights Cabaret Show on board the MV Normandy and a 6 week tour of Holland with Celtic Rhythms as Irish dancer and
lead female vocalist. Gráinne has also had the opportunity to work on the small screen, with credits including, The Late Late Show, Republic of Telly and The Voice of Ireland (RTE) George Gently (BBC) Ireland Am (TV3) and Penny Dreadful (Sky Atlantic).
Gráinne began teaching dance 8 years ago and is now linked to a number of schools based throughout Dublin, Meath and Kildare. She loves seeing the children’s confidence grow and helping them to reach their potential. She cannot wait to see all of the kids shine in tonight’s performance. Break legs guys!
Joan Burnside Milligan
Joan has been performing for over 30 years and 10 of those have been teaching. She studied Speech & Drama with the Leinster School of Music and holds a degree in Media Techniques. Joan comes from an acting dynasty in Sligo so from the age of four she was trained in acting, singing, ballet, tap, contemporary and mime and describes the stage as her second home.
Joan also works as an actress and has appeared in a variety of commercials, TV Shows and Films. Joan has taught in many Dublin based performing arts schools who have won All Ireland Titles and runs her own teaching business throughout the city. She gets great pleasure from seeing her students’ progress and the joy it brings to each and every one of them.
Naomi has been attending dance classes since the age of 6 when she entered her first Ballet class. From early on she has been performing on stage with Dance schools across Dublin including Dance Theatre Dublin and the Irish Ballet School. Naomi has recently graduated Inchicore College of Further Education where she studied Dance. During her time at Inchicore, she received her Diploma in Dance Instruction along with studying various types of dance including Jazz, Contemporary and Ballet. Over the past two summers, she has also been working in America at a summer camp as the Dance Specialist. Naomi is now excited to start her role as a dance teacher at Stage Performers.
Linda has been with Stage Performers since 2010 as our head chaperone where she has built up a very strong bond between children and parents alike. Linda holds a FETAC level 6 in Childcare and is extensively trained in Special Needs. In addition to being a busy mum herself she also owns and runs her own Montessori here in Ratoath called Little Robyns Montessori. Linda loves to see the children grow year after year and looks forward to seeing them on stage in our annual variety show.
